God has gifted me in the area of teaching.  I was a pastor’s kid and I did things because I was skilled and had experience doing them.  Along the way God showed me that He didn’t want my works.  He wanted to do a work in me.  I determined from that time on to pursue God in a different way and not do things out of my own ability but to rely on the Holy Spirit to empower me and call me to something.

This site, FaithandStudy.com, is a place where I will post the things God has given me to teach.  I enjoy studying and sharing what God has given me and I teach whenever God gives me the opportunity.

I often find myself not knowing what God wants me to teach when I am given an opportunity.  I’ll find myself in an uncomfortable situation where I have to decide if I still want to trust Him or pull something out of the hat.  It’s not that I don’t study until the last minute but it’s that I keep myself in prayer and study and wait for what God has to say.  I pray that those of you who read these writings will be blessed.

Also, I am well aware that there is no such thing as an *original* thought.  God empowers and teaches people all the time.  What I write here is what the Lord has shown me.  You will see me quote from other people from time to time.  All this is to show that I am not in any way the only source of truth or sound teaching. I just want to share what I have been given.
